Does anyone have any experience with the Bimmian CF splitters? Anyone know how good the fitment is?

I've looked at those before, but I've been reading around and haven't heard outstanding things about them. I bought some products of theirs a few months ago and was very disappointed with the quality.
Did you install yours with bolts or 3M tape?

+1 for Khoalty. I may be lucky then, I've ordered from them over 5 separate times over two years with 0 problems. (Thanks to Dean, Kevin, & co.)
I had mine bolted from the underside and the rear and fitment appeared to be 9.5/10.
EDIT: Have a Hamann lip on now but old sig pic is of the splitters back then.

Khoalty is hit or miss in my experience. Most times their stuff has been good, but I've definitely had fitment issues with some of their stuff and splitters was one of them.

They sent me a dead DS2 but for $25 a pair, I guess I can't complain. They did send a replacement out but it took two rather irate emails to get their attention.
Regarding the splitters - these slip right over the Mtech's "built-in" splitters right? Mine are all chewed up from the previous owner so maybe this is a good way to cover them up a bit.

Yes they fit over the stock splitters.

Nice - these are on the "wishlist" for sure. I'm not really into the "flashiness" of CF but these look nice/classy.

The mold of Khoalty's looks identical to the Bimmian splitters, so I guess I'll risk it and go with Khoalty.

You should be able to find them (him) on e46f. They were about $100 I think. Can't show them on the car right now. Too cold and dark. And I'm headed skiing tomorrow for a few days.

I've been hearing that too much, so I decided to purchase the bimmiam splitters. I did some research on the company that makes them (autocarbon.de) and they seem pretty reputable. The guys on m3forum or e46f say that the M3 splitters they make fit perfectly.

I think it came out to $185. $179 for the splitters, $11 for UPS ground shipping from the east coast to the west coast, and $5 of with the discount code "fbx5off".

danewilson77

I used bolts in the bottom and beta link on top edge. Mine are de-seamed now though.
If I had to do it over, I would go with bolts in the bottom an tape on the top edge.

Those are sweet! I bought mine off eBay for $60 but they needed refinished. I always wondered what brand they were. After looking at these photos I do believe mine are the same. I just used 4 countersunk SS screws with washers, 3 underneath and 1 inside the fender well. Here's some photos.

For me, the tape actually caused the splitters to push out a teense and not be flush at the top. But for Joop, he had to add tape to help close a bigger gap. I'd used screws in the bottom and beta on the top and not do the tape.

It's a black "glue" in a tube, BMW brand. Very sticky, highly recommended for body parts, etc that you don't want to take off (like splitters, spoilers).

^That might be the route I go for the small gap I have.
Tape won't help me where the gap is-- the CF is too rigid to be flexed that far without a risk of cracking.
I ended up just going 3 stainless screws/washers in each splitter.
This way I can easily swap them out in a couple of years if I end up kissing a few parking blocks or otherwise scraping them up.
