I think that's what the one William bought was. It was from a company that bored out the standard TB to a larger size, but I don't think the guy does it anymore.

I was originally looking to bore mine but I was only able to find one guy who had ever successfully done them. His name is George and he runs maxbore:

Unfortunately he only did two E46 TB's and they were such a pain in the ass to disassemble and reassemble that he no longer does them. After talking to him and some more thought, I was going to call him back and ask if he would do one if I disassembled it before sending it to him. Lucky for me I spotted one of the two he did on e46f and jumped on it.

I just saw that same ad on e46f fanatics when I was doing research. Looks like I will pass for now but I'll keep looking into it an let you know of I find out I can do it.

I'm not surprised. When I talked to him a year ago it didn't sound like he too interested in trying again.

If you can hang on to this for a week or two past Christmas I will gladly take it. Mine works fine, but I am replacing all the electrical "stuff" as much as I can with lower mileage or new items. With 203k miles, my original can't last forever.
