Is it me or the front center jacking point on our cars is kind of crap? Pretty sure it slightly deforms when you use it.

Yep, it definitely deforms. A lot of people don't use it for that reason.
Mine was already deformed when I bought her so I didn't hesitate to use it.

Yep. I use a small piece of 2x4 on the jack. Not sure why or if it's the safest. I think some jacks have an rounded accessory that actually fits in the dent that is created.

Not a good idea to jack on aluminum. Mine was already crushed when I took ownership. Never used it. I do fine jacking by the two front black plastic side points and then put jack stands under the frame rails. Works perfect and quick too. I do jack the rear by a central location though. I used the guard under the differential then I put the jack stands under the rear side plastic points. This setup is very stable and easy to work with.

Yea mine is pretty mutilated already. There really isn't anywhere else to jack if you want the whole front up.
The rear, I jack up one side and slide a 2nd jack to the subframe by the differential to jack up the rear.

What do you mean by "the guard"?

It's actually part of the rear subframe that hangs down below the differential.
In this pic it's labeled as "Carrier frame. (Jack here)"

I use the jack pad plate from ECS or similar... It fits into the jack pad under the rocker panel... It also fits perfectly into that center jacking point in the front...

Ahh-- didn't think of using that. I'll have to give that a try next time. :thumbsup
