M Perforated Square knob Question?

might anyone that may have bought one of these knobs (with no boot) let me know if the knob came with the plastic clip?

Mine did NOT have clip. I installed my boot (from you) on just the knob in your hand.

i am adding items to the site for the e90 and they have 2 different boots 1 is a 4 pc pattern(for the "square" knob with clip)and 1 is a 2 pc pattern for the regular type knobs so the answer lets me know i will have to modify the 4 piece pattern some to make it more user friendly (no clip/sq knob)

The one I have came from Marcus' old E92 335i. It came as one piece with the shift boot. The plastic ring I had to extract by breaking off the plastic tabs and filing them down to make it fit in my boot.

Check out my DIY on installing this knob in an E46 and you'll see what the various parts consist of.
