Hey guys so I'm wanting to get my new 335 tinted at some point. Normally I use Dedona in Greensboro and they do phenomenal work! But I was looking to go darker than the legal 35%. Anyone know of a place I could get this done?

They won't go past legal? The shops here will, but won't give you a receipt. Or is they do, it's only from the cash register, not specifying what was done.

Do you have a specific shop that uses good quality tint that would do it?

I used these guys in Fredericksburg: http://www.actiontint.com/automotive/index.php It was $225 all in for SunTek Carbon. They said the work is guaranteed for life and gave me a cash register receipt since I went darker than legal in VA. I plan to take my new car there in the not to distant future. I hope you can find someone closer to you, but if not, let us know you are coming!
Shawn,
What was the price? There is no local shops in my area and Fredericksburg is the closest to me.

Intersting: "Now you should seriously consider tinting your windshield! We have several new products including Llumar AIR 80, which is virtually clear in color and is legal. This particular film will filter out 99.9% of those harmful UV rays and cut down 43% of the heat coming through the largest window on your vehicle!"
Though I don't think that would be an option in VA as we have inspection stickers on the inside that have to be scraped off and replaced every year.
Shawn,
On my previous car I had a tinted windshield and the place where the sticker goes was cut out.

Ahh, now your thinking with your dipstick! Not a bad idea (as long as the inspector is a wee bit careful).

Seems to have really good reviews. May have to check them out. How much was the tint and what kind did you get?

I've used LATint in Manassas, VA with great results, the guy who runs it has the customer service personality of a hungry mountain lion but they do an excellent job. Any requests beyond legal tint result in no receipt (VA can prosecute the tinter if you get stopped and can produce a receipt) and they require cash payment, no credit cards or checks.

No, went back with a bubble in the tint after a couple days and he has an "unofficial" record of every car ever done, fixed the bubble at no addl expense.
