Does anyone have a seatbelt receptacle for a standard sport seat? I don't know if it matters, but it's for a sedan.

Mine is not clicking the seatbelt in half the time and have to position it just right for it to catch... getting worse by the day. :(

Dario's parts car!

That sucks, PO of my car dealt with this, he had to replace the whole tensioner assembly (although he did it at an indy so he might've overdone it).

I already sold the tensioner from my parts car. Sorry.

Done this in the e36 probably five times (soooo many I've lost count). It always throws an airbag light when it goes bad, and cost is usually over $100 for the part alone because of the gunpowder firing mechanism to tight the belt in the event of a crash. Hope you are able to find a good used one BP. It's easy enough to swap, though seat removal is required.

I don't need the tensioner, only the receptacle. I have no airbag lights being thrown when I have no passenger (passenger occupancy sensor is bad) so the tensioner should be fine. I just need the receptacle that the belt clicks into.

Sounds good BP. As far as I know, the latch unit is sold as one piece (probably courtesy of the lawyers at BMW) like this one, though I never tried separating any of it in the past. EDIT: To be clear, there is a tensioner within this setup too that is fired in the event of an impact which tightens the internal cables inside the corrugated plastic sleeve to reduce the passenger movement prior to impact. ^ Damn it. I thought they were separable...
That just greatly increased the cost. :facepalm

I was really hoping you knew something I didn't. Perhaps find a used one somewhere?

That's what I put the feeler out for, hoping someone here had replaced their seats out or has a spare around. :dunno
