Thanks guys, had to give up the city checker board and everything near by but, these roads make up for it. Now if I could just get the wife to like it as much as I do.

Guy,
Why does your car have an antenna??? I thought all E46 sedans had them in the "grid" on the back window?
Actually in the truck, the car was tucked away in the garage. We were going shopping and that's never good for the ZHP. Once it worms up and the trees start budding, I'm planning on redoing it in the ZHP. Thanks for watching.

These are gorgeous videos! How do you like the GoPro, btw? I've been on the fence about getting one since they came out...worth getting a discount on the Hero 3 or waiting until a new comes out with 4k at higher fps and other upgrades?
Thanks,
Yes I like the GoPro and I believe the Black is capable of the 4K but your limited to what Vimeo or YouTube allow you to upload. The editing software that comes with the GoPro is good but has some limitations. I upgraded to PowerDirector 12 Ultimate that makes editing quick and painless. The one thing that's not that great on the GoPro is the remote and Iphone app. It works great but, destroys the camera battery life. I managed my way around that by setting up a one touch button that is like an on/off switch with everything set.
Heading down to the lake with my truck and the main reason I added the Toyota to the fleet. One of the few things I don't want the ZHP to do for me.

OK guy's, this is about half my drive to Cool Springs Cars n Coffee yesterday and I know they're a little long and may be boring for some but, the end of Part 2 is the final destination. Spring is here in Tennessee with the trees in blossom and a partly cloudy blue sky, the GoPro did well on some of the best roads in the country.
Next up will be the ride home with a detour up into some of the back hills and roads mainly traveled by pick'em up trucks.

They are working for me! How is the 4k on the GoPro? I just bought the Hero 4 and pumped to use the 4k and time lapse.
Thanks for letting me know. :) I like the 4K and the videos look great on the PC however; you are still somewhat limited to what you can produce online without additional cost. FYI; I'm using Cyberlink PowerDirector for my editing software.
Part 11 & 12, 12 in 4K. Not sure if the 4K is worth the processing and upload time.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smrKrAqjeLo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bSYDKq8x28
I messed up and 11 & 12 are identical except 11 produced in Full HD Quality 1920x1080 and 12 produced in 4K Quality 4096x2160. Now the kicker; 11s plaback is in 1080p HD and the higher quality; 12 only plays back in 360p. Played them back side by side on dual screens and the Full HD blows the 4K away.

Really thats crazy! how much processing an editing did you have to do?
These are strait out of the camera, all I used the software for, was chopping it up into 5 minute sections, then setting my output settings to directly publish on YouTube. FYI the 4K publish took 4 or 6 times longer than the 1080.

Thought I'd share this Drone Video of some Mountain road construction near by. Because of the complexity of this 2 to 4 lane expansion project, they shut the road down back on January 4, 2019 with NO access. The scheduled opening, with still two lane traffic is October and hopefully sooner. Full 4 lane completion is a year from now.
This is a great road to drive and a pain to do without. Only three other ways around and all are longer with heaver traffic because of the closure.

The Road is Open!
Finally after 10 months the road across the mountain has two lanes open. Construction to widen it to four lanes has been going on since the closure. It is now reopened in two lanes with the other two to be completed in Spring 2020. The alternative route was longer and very heavy traffic and was still the quickest access to the lake/boat.

Yes it’s a pretty active app and I went with the free one. My first test was for thanksgiving and I did the entire route from Huntsville, AL to Mason, OH (Kings Island area). No issues except killing my phone battery. I also did some video captures along the way. The app ask’d me if I wanted to add them but, I opted out.
My only dislike is the fact that it tells my top speed. I’d rather keep that a secret.

The long way home from Huntsville Cars n Coffee part one!
Heading East at on SR72 at SR231, through the new construction and in to the Huntsville Five Points Historic District. Continuing up Monte Sano Mountain through some Alabama Land Trust forever wild and close to Monte Sano State Park. Near the end of part one, I pass Burritt On The Mountain @ Round to Mountain and left to the city of Huntsville back in the 50's. We make the left onto SR432/Governess Drive, that will take you to Guntersville, AL in 30 miles. I sweep to the right to follow an old country road at the base of the mountain and make a right at the light onto Cecil Ashburn Drive that take over Huntsville Mountain on a newly expand four lane. On the four lane we pass the Blevins Gap tail Head om the left, another Alabama Land Trust area. At the base of the mountain, we make a right on Carl Jones Drive and head past The Jones Farm. Jones bought it in the thirties and it the largest operating urban farm in the US.The next right is on Garth Road and follows along the Farm. Before heading into the neighborhood, I pass Jones Valley Elementary. This school was destroyed in the 1989 F4 Airport Road Tornado, Huntsville's deadliest.
Enjoy!

Nice drive and video (especially in the forest).
I upgraded to a GoPro 11 BLACK last year. This is a sample but, the run was with the DD and not the ZHP. The trailhead I stop at at the top of the mountain was used in the Picture Game last year. This is always a nice ride and very close to home.

This was a drive out to a Coffee n Cars with my ZHP. Mostly interstate and it gives a nice look around Huntsville, AL.
It’s maxed out in 4K so, adjust as needed!

I took this last spring with my IPhone and driving our ///M235 and finally got around to editing it and posting it on YouTube. For the IPhone, it turned out very good.
And some info about the Skyway: https://cherohala.com/
