Google Maps shows a BMW indy at the address in the CL ad, "Bimmers South"; I'd assume they'd know it's a ZHP? :dunno

May be sold. Salesman is at lunch. Lady said they are asking $8200 but would have the guy call me.

I just spoke to the salesman. He may have it sold to a local customer. He is trying to verify. If not, I am interested in pursuing this one. The main reason they are selling so cheap is it has been on their lot too long. There were several door dents and someone made the call to have them repainted instead of PDR and the 4 doors don't match the rest of the paint.

He uploaded two interior pics to the CL ad for me.

I asked him about that and he said yes, but he needed to contact the customer who said he wants the car. I didn't hear back from him today. I'll ping him tomorrow.

What are your thoughts on the driver's door sill/jamb? Does that look like over spray or maybe just a reflection? I'll ask for more pics. (but guess I shouldn't' be too picky at this price)

It looks like over spray on that door sill. Probably not a big reason for concern, since it's hiding most of the time.

It isn't overspray. If you look carefully, that part is reflecting, since it's supposed to just be chrome otherwise. Compare to the passenger side door pic.

I have looked at many cars in Atlanta for myself and two college age kids. I have walked away from many "deals". In Atlanta, if it is appears to be too good to be true......

Thanks for the prompting Fredo! Heard from a shop nearby today that can PPI. Good reviews on BimmerShops.com. I'm a bit worried about the paint. I may pay for the PPI just to get an opinion from someone else (though they are looking for mechanical issues, the shop did say they look for damage not reported on carfax--this one does have a minor incident recorded).

Dane, Joop and Bruce are guesstimating north of $2k for painting everything but the four newly painted doors. BCS also suggests a wet-sand and paint restore/polish may bring it back to life. Heck from the pics, I may be able to live with it as-is. Just can't be sure.

Then there is trying to get to GA. Found a ticket for @$200 one way to ATL. My 16yo daughter said she's in for copiloting. Monday is a holiday for me as I'm a non-furloughed Fed.

Also began socializing the idea with the VP of Finance (wife) who didn't balk immediately...

I plan to call the dealer again tomorrow.

Yeah, so much for being "#1 on the list"... Salesman? Marshal also said he'd send me some info on a few other cars he has... nothing (not that I'd be interested in a non-ZHP).
