Regretfully decided to sell this (part of me wanted to mount on the wall in my garage as I believe they will be worth some major coin one day as they become harder to find and possibly become collector pieces!
This item is 100% mint, no scratches, scuffs, etc. Comes with original hardware and bolt caps.
Asking $600 shipped. I only ship via fedex, and this won't be cheap due to the size of the box. Please keep that in mind when considering my price.

GLWS Bill :thumbsup

Charlie- Yes I know. I'd love to purchase this, but I would need Bill to work something out with me, I simply can't yank the money out right now, at least not in full.
Bill- If you want to work something out, PM me.

Happy new owner over here :happydane
I never thought that I'd pay this much for a strut brace. Especially since I bought my last one (for my DSM) for $90. However, this is a totally beautiful piece and I think that it would compliment my coupe perfectly. Christmas could come a little early. Right? :santa2

No. It's an awesome piece. They were originally $1000 retail at BMW. That should make you feel better. :)

Actually, they sold for in the $300's until they stopped making them. Now they're around $1000, and that's assuming you can find one new anymore. :(

Like I said.....$600 for a BMW Performance carbon fiber strut bar in perfect shape is about the right price considering they are NLA. This is what Steve and I paid for our brand new never used strut bars.

Actually not accurate. They were $1K retail from BMW. THEN they went on a fire sale for around $300. Now they've started creeping back up and the seem to hover around $600 +/-.

Thanks for the reassurance guys. When I started doing research on zhp's some years ago, I made a mental note that it must have the BMW Performance brace. It was a bit of a disappointment to learn that they were NLA. So I'm very excited to have found one.

John, I was not quoting what you just did but rather put out what Steve and I paid for our brand new BMW Performance strut bars. Yes BMW sold these strut bars for $1k before the fire sale to get rid of them for around $300. Since they are NLA you can find some for around $300 if you're very lucky but they are usually found for around the $600 price range.

^not just peace of mind, you can't use the stock ones as they don't fit right.
Also, get the little black caps

It looks like circle bmw has them for $7 and some change, so might want to try there.

Yeah, the black caps add a finishing touch to mounting the strut bar but if you have aftermarket coilovers, those caps won't fit. Ask me how I know...;)

Why?
The caps should be front strut mount dependant. I have stock FSM with KW V1's.
Charlie, do you gave a camber kit or fancy non stock strut mounts?

I am going to guess here but most likely because the studs are longer on his coilovers.

Studs? You mean the one single stud that fastens the coilover to the FSM?
That would prevent the large cover from being able to be used, but the individual nut cover should be good.
Idk... We'll see what he says.

Hmm, I was under impression that the all of the needed hardware would come with it. The description states "all original hardware and bolt caps." I best ask Bill what he meant by that. :blink

Dane, to answer your question... Yes I have a camber kit installed on my BC Racing coilovers. The three bolts on the camber kit come such that they are too long to have those plastic caps seat in.
