Hello everyone, let me first say that I am ecstatic to finally be an official member of the ZHP Mafia! This is without a doubt the best BMW forum I have come across, the hospitality and information here is invaluable. Now to the good stuff.

My name is Ashton, I am from Western Kentucky 21 years old, and I have been in love with BMW's since I was young. It started on a family vacation to Myrtle Beach many years ago, I grew up around cars but had no real knowledge about them. On this trip, we stopped to refuel at a Shell station, and then it happened. I saw a car getting gas, and it really caught my eye like nothing before. It was so subtle and understated yet aggressive a beautiful. Then the sound it made when he pulled out, I was hooked. That car was an Imola E46 M3, and ever since I have been almost infatuated with BMW as a company.

As for me, my first car was a 2003 Audi A6, and that went south very fast, resulting in me getting an E36 325i. After that, I moved to a 2005 325ci in my favorite BMW color, Alpine White. That car sealed the deal for me, it was everything I needed in a vehicle, although I longed for a proper gearbox. After less than a year of ownership, a deer jumping out of a cornfield laid that car to rest. It was a scary moment and made me sad to see my baby like that, but that event led me to purchase my new-to-me 2005 330ci, 6-Speed Manual, Black Sapphire Metallic ZHP. In short, at this stage in my life, this car is pure bliss.

I knew exactly what I was looking for when searching for this car, it had to be a ZHP Coupe with a manual, with somewhat mild mileage. The simplicity, refinement and rarity of these cars is what draws me to them. I feel I never use my stereo, the song the exhaust note plays never gets old to me. Anyway, enough about me, here are some terrible iPhone pictures of my car. I desperately need to purchase an actual camera.

Thanks for the kind words guys, with the help of this forum I hope to get my car looking half as pristine as yours, I have a lot of work ahead of me! I was unsure about black at first, being such a pain to maintain but BSM is really a gorgeous color in the sun when it's clean.

My front bumper is being refinished Monday, when I get it back from that, I plan to start on my maintenance list.

Thank you! Only 2 from KY? I spotted a Tiag coupe in Owensboro a week or so ago, I wonder if it was a member?

By the way, I'm in Lexington quite often, beautiful city.

Benvenutto a la famiglia Ashton. Really nice ride. I wish I had been as focused and determined as you when I was 21.

Ich danke Ihnen guys, much appreciated.

I've been busy with school lately, to explain my absence. I got the car back, as I had the bumper repainted. The color match is spot on, but I am unhappy with the fitment, so I may end up re-fitting it myself and painting the bumper mesh following the DIY on this site.

I have a few questions as well, and instead of creating a new thread I'll address them here. I am interested in the Carbon BMW Performance Splitters that have been discontinued, as well as the diffuser. Any help locating those? Second, I would like to run some mild spacers, and I have read 10-12mm is the norm for ZHP's on stock suspension. Will this work with no rubbing? Thanks in advance.

Welcome Ashton!

What mileage did your coupe come with?

Right around 77k miles. The car was a CPO it's entire life until it got to me.

Excellent! Any warranty left?

Both of those are extremely rare and you'd have to get lucky and find someone selling them. You could get replicas. If you want to, I'll look up a good source for each of them for you.

Unfortunately no warranty left

John, replicas are fine as long as the quality and fitment is fairly good, that would be great if you find a source. I have been searching, however I haven't had much luck.

For both of these I had the replica versions and they were great examples. The only reason I changed them out was that I happened to find OEM versions. Frankly, for the money paid to get them, it's not worth it, just got for the replicas. You can check out my project thread to view them.

For the rear diffuser, email Andrew@euro-spec to see if he still sells them.

For the splitters, we got them from a dude on e46fanatics.com that made a mold from OEM and they are virtually an exact replica (the OEMs ones have a hole in the bottom of one side but that's it - besides you don't see that). Justin (Hornung418) on this site coordinated the buy, so you might want to contact him for get the contact information. When you reach out to that guy, ask him how many he has left, I think I might want a backup set.

Thanks John, I have inquired with the people you suggested, hope to hear something back soon. I will let you know what I hear about the splitters.

Thank you for the info, your car looks amazing. Very helpful thread.
