My windshield washer fluid light comes on so often and I barely use the function. So I dumped water in the tank and see if there was any leakage. Next morning I saw some water on the garage floor.

Any idea on what to look for? Could it be the windshield washer pump? I swear I replaced that once already.

Any thoughts?
Thanks.

Check the rubber grommet at the base of the washer pump where it goes into the washer reservoir. It is a common leak issue on the E36 & E46.

^^This. However, if the grommet fit seems intact, obviously check the other hose connections. But what I'm also getting at is: Do you have the cold weather pkg?
If so, there will be 2 of these grommets to check, one on each pump, and the hose network going to the headlight washers too.
Further, if you have the ZCW and have tinkered with the washer nozzles, etc., these go along with the hose network. Hopefully that's not it.

FWIW, I have disabled the headlight washers on my car.
