who's running them? I've read generally good reviews on them, what do you guys think? Also, to save me some time what pads should I run, thinking hawk hps.
I know if i was gonna do some hard driving/tracking to just go with them brembo blanks so spare me that. The zhp isn't a daily anymore and i'd like to get drilled&slotted for looks cause I'm cool (sorta) :applause2
Love you all and missed you guys, but the ZHP has seriously been sitting in a garage 100 miles from where I live at my parents house. My dad takes it out once every few weeks and I drive it maybe once a month, but now my daily is done getting tinkered with for now i need to spend some loot on the BMW. looking to buy brakes pads, rotors, and SS lines (all hardware too) by the end of the week.
I've been searching and i'm leaning towards these-
http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/2003/bmw/330i/brake/brake_rotor.html?brand=centric
Other input or if anyone has a better site to get them let me know, not looking for a lot of clutter, more point and shoot and spend some cash monies.

Contact Ray (Smileyz) via PM, he's Mafia family, or his website, brakeyourself.com. I've bought half a dozen brake sets from Ray, he's always taken care of me (S/D rotors, ceramic pads, ss lines, sensors, ATE Blue) and at a price no one can beat.
I have been using centric brake rotors on my cars with Hawk hps pads and goodridge ss lines. No complaints from me.
Btw centric produces powerslot and stoptech brake components.

Yeah that's basically the general thing I've heard. I think I'm pulling the trigger tonight, will have to talk with smilez, but I think I'm ordering tonight.

Thanks everyone, as usual I knew that zhpmafia would provide me with fast and solid info. Stoked to order some stuff and spend a weekend in the garage.
DW I may be borrowing that 45 mm wrench I've heard I might need.

I'm assuming you're in Richmond? Do you need any help with that? I'm not sure what my weekend has in store for wrenching, but I might be able to lend a hand if you need it.
I haven't heard Richmond as "Fist City" =P

I'm also looking into changing my rear brake pads and rotors.
I'm putting together my own list:
Brake Pads:
http://www.bmaparts.com/item.wws?sku=520%2006830%20325&itempk=70303&mfr=MINTEX&weight=2.60
Rotors:
http://www.bmaparts.com/item.wws?clientid=bmaparts.com&Sku=405%2006046%20398&mfr=ZIMMERMANN&sup=IMC&
Set screw:
http://www.bmaparts.com/item.wws?sku=407%2006012%20001&itempk=68850&mfr=GENUINE&weight=0.02
Sensors:
http://www.bmaparts.com/item.wws?clientid=bmaparts.com&Sku=524%2006006%20349&mfr=PEX&sup=IMC&
Total comes to $175 + tax.
I'll look into Smileyz, brakeyourself.com. I can't afford to deal with having to do this job twice, so I don't want to go with cheap shit.

Cause I know y'all are impatient and it's really easy to post pics with this app.
Most recent of the BMW as a whole- http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/11/yzesejuz.jpg
Just got my rear differential seals replaced and the valve cover replaced (yes the whole thing, they can warp).
Next is suspension and tires.

Centric drilled/slotted rotors.
Ceramic pads
Stoptech stainless steel brake lines
Also did the wheel stud conversion from turner motorsports and did the calipers in black because...well that brownish colors metal looked like poo.
Painting the calipers added some extra time...that's for sure, especially cause I did the rears, then experimented with painting the fronts, so had to take the rears back apart and paint those when I decides I liked it.
This and the car sits 100miles from where I live.

Looking very familiar... This is a quick pic of my setup that I just finished today. Where did you get your rotors?? I wanted the black coating on the rotor hats and outside edges... Hoping it lasts. Calipers look great, I like your color choice. :thumbsup It does add quite a bit of time though. And for me, I installed the brass caliper guide bushings from TMS. Interested to see how they perform...

That's looking nice! I hope the black holds up as well, cleaning/painting those bastards was probably the most time consuming part! Happy i did it though . I don't daily the car so I suspect it will look decent for a while.

Agreed... I only do about 5K a year, so I should be good for them to last a while... I did 3 coats of the gloss black and then 3 coats of clear coat... Should be sufficient. :biggrin
