Basically the newer new car engines have computer cut pieces that fit better and the 0w is possible because of this.

No problem. I learned a friggin' ton! Most important lesson: get an oil pressure gauge to know whether or not the oil is appropriate for the engine. I noticed that he doesn't, in that entire novel, mention used oil analysis one single time.
