I believe my passenger airbag sensor on the bottom of the seat as finally shit the bed. It used to come on when someone sat in the front seat and then after a few drive cycles with no one sitting there it would go off and stay off until someone sat in the front seat again. After researching on here (with not much resulting) and bimmerforums (seems like the info there pointed to this sensor being the issue) I need to get this fixed on my next oil change.

Id like to not fix it half assed but the fix I found aside from replacing the mat was to put a resistor wired in with the sensor thus making the light go away. I don't have the link anymore for that thread unfortunately.

Anyways, has anyone ever dealt with this issue in their ZHP, how did you fix it, where could I buy the airbag passenger seat mat sensor aside from the dealer?

DW to the rescue! SO do you always have that in your lap (grin)? How hard is it to unskin and reskin the seat after removal?

I bought it brand new from Tischer. Never used as changing my bulb out fixed my issue.
