SOLD: 2004 BMW 330cic ZHP Conv, Imola/Alcantara, 6spd, 49k mi, Fairfax Station, VA SOLD
Yes, it is a rare alcantara interior convertible -- your legs won't stick to the seats in the summer sun. Has 6 spd, heated seats, xenons, no cold weather package, no nav. My wife pretty much keeps the top down from Memorial Day thru Labor Day, it is a garaged car so the top stays down many summer nights too. Didn't think she would ever do this but my wife says its time for her to part with her baby and move on. Mileage currently sits at 48,667 as of this morning (8/04/13) but will go up as she's still driving it.
2nd owner, never any accidents, excellent condition, over-maintained.
1st owner bought this car in Summer 2004 for his wife as a 40th b-day present, had the car delivered on a rollback from N. VA to the Outer Banks during their vacation/her b-day celebration. She initially liked it but quickly grew tired of driving a clutch in the DC area traffic, it became a garage queen. During their 6+ year ownership, it only was back to the dealer once for a complimentary oil change at about 6K miles. I stumbled onto this car in Fall 2010 (tags were more than 2 years expired at that time, it was not being driven), it took me several months to secure her. This car was also a b-day present for my wife, another significant b-day divisible by 10, I hid the car until February 2011.
History (have receipts):
1/20/11: bought with 8,896 miles; battery was dead so push started her to get it cranked and driven home
2/04/11: replaced battery
2/07/11: replaced alternator (unbeknownst a mouse had made a nest in the alternator cooling duct at the PO's garage, when I picked it up several weeks earlier that nest was ingested into the back of the alternator, the more we drove it the more we killed the alternator)
2/14/11: Happy Valentine's Day, a rare warm Feb day and my wife took it out for her first top down spin, hit the edge of a pothole and surgically cut the sidewall on both of the original right side tires, slightly scraped one wheel (later replaced, see below), car was flatbedded home to the garage
2/15/11: ordered 4 new Continental DWS tires
2/19/11: new tires arrived & were installed; bought microfilter & replaced
2/25/11: air filter replaced
3/09/11: oil change (mileage @ 9,938), 4-wheel alignment at indy
6/05/11: replaced brake rotors with slotted & drilled, Hawk ceramic pads, changed brake fluid with ATE Blue
7/09/11: oil change (mileage @ 15,800)
9/24/11: oil change (mileage @ 20,300)
12/28/11: oil change (mileage @ 25,390)
3/10/12: 2 new rear tires, Continential DWS (mileage @ 28,515)
4/07/12: oil change, tranny & differential fluid changes too (mileage @ 30,020)
5/16/12: had dealer update DME
6/12/12: replaced fog light bulb
6/22/12: oil change @ dealer and complete check over of car (mileage @ 35,547)
7/14/12: removed & cleaned DISA, ICV, replaced intake boots, F connector & vacuum line
7/21/12: added SS brake lines, painted calipers & carriers, flushed brake fluid
summer 12: replaced coolant, replaced expansion tank cap
9/05/12: oil change (mileage @ 39,890)
12/22/12: oil change, tranny & differential fluid changes (mileage @ 44,400)
Jan 13: bought new 135 wheels with almost new BFGoodrich summer tires, virtually perfect, only one small mark on one wheel
Summary, oil changes every 5K miles with BMW oil & filter, diff & tranny changes each 15K miles, brake fluid flushed annually, no other real issues.
Other things added that I don't recall the date of purchase/installation or can't find the receipt:
- smoked side marker lights (have the original white ones)
- gloss black kidney grills (have the original chromes)
- clear front bumper reflectors (have the original ambers)
- new OEM carpeted floor mats (Xmas 2011?)
- air filter & microfilter replaced as part of the 30K maintenance I did (Spring 2012)
- 50% window tint on sides & 35% rear glass (Spring 2012)
- paintless dent repair removed any door dings (Apr/May 2013)
- front control arm bushings (FCABs) replaced (Sept 2012, around 40K miles)
- new style BMW centercaps for wheels (Spring 2013)
Two things were on my preventative maintenance list to do before 60K miles:
1. replace the valve cover gasket & spark plugs -- currently no leaks or issues but I wanted to do this on account of the age of the car
2. was planning to do a full cooling system refresh to teach my younger son how to do that -- again, no issues currently but wanted to do it based on age of the car
The front bumper has a couple of small scrape marks on the bottom of the ZHP wings (a bumper repaint would make it perfect again), the rear bumper has a scrape mark from PO not pulling completely into his garage and then closing the door (see butt photo, 2 slight vertical marks left of the license plate, right at the horizontal line in the bumper, not noticeable until pointed out), will try to show that in pics. The attached pics are old, I will try to get some current ones today and post them.
Have already had a discussion with EAG, he wants this car, told me it is a rare combination of vert/IR/alcantara/heated seats/6 spd, and he'll list it for considerably higher than my asking price.
Easiest way to reach me is via cell phone, xxx-yyy-zzzz.
To address previous questions about her license plate, its not "for ions" but rather she's a tennis nut so its supposed to be read as "for 10-ns (tennis)". (Randeaux got it, I think the only one so far.)
This is how I found her originally:
