Aux jack with Nav HU - help

So I think I must have bought the wrong Aux jack. Can anyone confirm?

The grey plug (loose) is the cable I bought. Assume I need one that plugs into the 3-lead (y, br, Blk) female plug.

So here are some pics of the correct jack for a Nav head unit plus wiring. Ordered from Getbmwparts (Tischer).

I used this thread as the baseline. Two small nail files were the trick to removing the HU. (Step 5)

Two connections to the Nav unit.

Aux jack connection to radio wiring harness. I had to cut back the cloth tape and to connect and then used electrical tape to secure it.
