I am finally ready to say good by to the wood. I love the wood but it's a shame it is so faded and cracked. Boo.
Where do you find the silver cube wrap? I think that is the direction I want to go.
I also may take the trim into a shop and have it painted gloss black. Not sure yet.

Never seen it, and have only seen CF wrap.

If you go with Black try a DIY. I painted one of the wood grain panels in my truck flat black and it turned out good. It's been 2 years and still looks great! I will see if I have the before and after photos still.
Here's how I did it.
- Use 200 grit wet/dry sandpaper and gently rough it up.
- Clean it with Alcohol
- I used the Krylon Fusion paint for plastics and applied 3 even coats.
Let each coat dry for 5-10 minutes.
- Applied 2 coats of Satin clear coat.

Ah crud! I could have sworn there was a wrap.
Looks like it's back to the drawing board. It's either piano black or I am still weighing the idea of wrapping with a black wood grain wrap then having a paint shop gloss it. By glossing it I hope it will give it some depth and make it look like legit wood. I may get a small bit of the wrap, wrap something, and have it glossed to test the theory.

I've been wanting to try the plasti-dip carbon fiber myself but haven't gotten around to it yet. There's not really anything wrong with my wood trim I just want something different than the wood trim. Good luck!

I always liked the carbon wrap but there are some that raise a brow to it as it is not 'oem'

IMO to each there own.
Do what makes you happy with your car. No matter what there is always going to be someone who doesn't happen to like what you do but in the end you're the one who drives it and takes care of it. I've never been a fan of slapping an ///M3 badge on a 3 series but I try not to dog anyone about it who does. Different strokes for different folks :)

I'm a fan of aluminum wrap.

I agree aluminum wrap does look good. Only reason I thought twice about it was due to my interior already being grey. Felt like the trim would get lost between the grey and black.

I dont like the CF look. Only way it works is if it's real.
I may get a few brushed aluminum wraps and see if any of those will pass. I would rather have cracked wood than something cheap looking.

How bad is the wood cracked? You could lightly sand and have it re-cleared if its not too bad.

Its not too bad really. Only one crack on the front dash area, and a few on the drivers and passenger handles. That may be a good option. I'm worried the wood itself underneath is faded.
But hey, I wouldnt mind dying the old wood with some black and having it re cleared. If in fact that is possible at all.

I would bet that you could hit it with some fine grit sandpaper and then polish it up and reclear it depending on how deep the cracks are. I would think you would have to take a good layer of the wood off to get all the way past the clear in order to go as far as restraining it. Some pics would be helpful.
