Wow, I had no idea about the weather in the southeast. Lotsa rain! Thanks for not posting THAT moon!

Ok, keeping with the season for a few more days...

EDIT - Scratching my first idea. Too cliché and would have taken a day at most. Let's get a little more creative.

Next challenge: Your car in spooky fog or mist.

This one should be easy for guys on the coasts. It's nearly impossible for me.

Pisgah Covered Bridge located in Randolph County near Seagrove, North Carolina and not too far off I-73/I-74, the popular beach route to Myrtle Beach for folks traveling from Ontario, Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia and Western Pennsylvania. Great place to have a picnic on the way to the beach.

This should be easy to knock out for those who go do their shopping with a significant other.

OMG, I looked up where you took that shot, and I think I've been at that lake!

I haven't been since I was 13 or 14, but I used to visited family in Lewisburg. The last time I was there, I road-tripped to TN from Iowa with my great aunt and uncle in their Ford LTD. We're talking 1983 or 1984, here. I then spent a couple of weeks there with a great aunt and uncle. I still fondly remember the cute twin sisters next door, the neighbor boy who took me to shoot snakes in the creek, and bringing a flat of Sun Drop back to Iowa with me on the airline. ;)

I need to bring the fam and come visit Tennessee again!

I actually took my ZHP to work last night and threw the model on the passenger seat floor so, I could stop and get a nice shot. Then I forgot all about it, until I noticed it when I grabbed my other stuff when I got home.

This morning was detail morning for Nashville Cars_n_Coffee tomorrow morning so, when I finished up. I checked and nobody had posted. So,I grabbed the model, took a few shots and it was a done deal.

Wow, that is impressive. My first home was a 1929 tudor, and I thought *that* was old. But, anything that's getting close to 1800 is pretty damn old for North America. I used to imagine the first owners of my house pulling their Ford Model A Sedan into the drive to park in the rear garage. Pretty sure yours would have had horses. ;)

Ok, so it's been almost a week and no one has posted sooooooo here we go.

I picked this up from a very good friend a few years back. He was a collector and had an extremely nice assortment of blades that he had collected over his many years. When I met him seven years ago, I fell in love with this sword. A few years back, Will practically gave it to me. It was only after I came back to visit him again that I found out that he'd passed away shortly after I last saw him. He'd been battling cancer for some time.

The blade is in dire need of restoration, the saya and tsuka (scabbard and hilt respectively) are extremely ornamented and a two piece unit. The inner liner being made of Japanese red cedar and the outer being made of brass. I have a working knowledge on blade design but, shameless plug, if anyone here happens to know an individual versed in kanji and/or Nihonto restoration please hit me up.
